Bitcoris is no longer reachable

As of 9 August 2026, the bitcoris.com domain no longer resolves: it is absent from the .com registry, both through Google's public DNS and through Verisign's RDAP registry. This is not a server outage, it is a domain name that no longer exists. The most recent copy available on the Internet Archive dates from 18 March 2025. What we do not know, and will not invent: we found no closure announcement, no statement, no public explanation. So we do not know what happened, nor whether the service will return under another address. Search engines still show results for bitcoris.com. That is a stale index, not a sign of life: the pages no longer load.

Exchangers of this kind do not hold customer funds between operations: you send, you receive. So in principle there is no balance frozen anywhere. The hard case remains a transfer sent without receiving anything back. Gather your blockchain transaction hash and all your screenshots: with no site and no official channel, those are your only evidence. We have no connection with Bitcoris and no way to intervene. Saying so plainly is better than raising false hope.

Check these points with any exchanger — including us. Is the rate visible without creating an account? If learning the price requires signing up and passing identity verification, you cannot compare. Is the minimum amount shown before you send, or do you discover it at payment time? Are the Mobile Money operators named country by country? A phrase like “all of West Africa” does not tell you whether your number will work. Is there someone you can reach, with a phone number and opening hours? And does the service hold your funds, or only pass them through? That is what determines your exposure the day a site stops responding — like this one.
